Polymer modified asphalt (PMB) is a high-quality asphalt improved by Tratimex using the thermoplastic polymer Styrene – Butadiene – Styrene (SBS) method; Used in road construction, airports or applications in traffic projects that require high quality standards.

Polymer asphalt creates a solid three-dimensional framework, minimizes the impact of external environmental temperature on the asphalt layer, increases the stiffness modulus at high temperatures and has good elasticity. even when the temperature drops, prevents cracking. In addition, polymer asphalt also enhances anti-aging ability, reduces permanent deformation and works well in places with constant high pressure on the road surface.

Uses:

Polymer asphalt can be used for the following applications:

  • High strength compact asphalt concrete.
  • Concrete, stone and asphalt mortar (SMA).
  • Thin and very thin rough-textured asphalt overlay (VTO).
  • Highways, heavy truck roads, airport runways...
  • Make SAMI anti-cracking layer.
  • Production of polymer emulsion asphalt and other asphalt products.

Product manual:

Recommended temperature range when using PMB asphalt products:

  • When storing: 135 – 165°C
  • When mixed with aggregate: 160 – 185°C
  • When spreading the mixture: 135 – 165°C
  • When compacting: starting temperature is 130 - 160 °C; at the end of 95 – 140 °C.

Safety and health:

PMB meets all standards for safety of use, fire safety and health in the industrial sector, and does not cause any notable risks when used as directed.

Tratimex commits to customers with quality indicators and conducts inspections according to the methods specified in National Standards TCVN 7493:2005, 22 TCN 279-01 and Circular No. 27/2017/TT-BGTVT of the Government. Ministry of Transport, specifically as follows:
